Body butters are a rich, nourishing alternative to moisturize the body with the absence of water as an ingredient. Typically stored in jars vs a bottle so you can easily scoop out the desired amount of cream( keep your fingernails clear with the Gold Mini Spoon). They normallycontain shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oils and/or other vegetable-based oils and butters. See full list of ingredients under each product.
What is the difference between body butter and a lotion?
Lotions contain water as the primary ingredient along with other fillers. Body butters contain only key ingredients ie. butters, oils and vitamins that deeply hydrate and lock in moisture by creating a protective barrier over the skin. This means that body butters are the purest forms of a moisturizer as well as the thickest.
How do you use body butter?
The best way to use body butter is to apply directly after a shower or bath. Pat your body dry with a towel, then scoop pea - dime size amount into palm of hand or directly onto the area. Rub and massage in. A little goes a long way so start with smaller amounts, as you can always apply a second layer if needed. Enjoy 24-hour locked in moisturized skin!
My product melted or froze during shipment to a warm or cold climate?
Body butters are comprised of soft and hard oils that range in melting point temperatures. Due to the natural nature of the our products (no stabilizers or alcohol), there may be a chance that it melts during shipment to hot areas, if not collect immediately upon delivery. If this occurs, just place product in refrigerator for 2-3 hours and the product will solidify. Due to the whipped nature of the product air is incorporated, thus if melting occurs the remaining liquid will look like less is in the jar. If your products freezes, just let the product set at room temperature for about 12 hours. The quality and benefits are not altered if the products melts or freezes. Are body butter greasy?
No, but body butters are heavier than lotions andbody creams. You will notice a significant difference on your skin. The natural unrefined oils used in Sweet Skin products are the fastest absorbing and highest antioxidant oils found in nature. Your body butter will start as a buttery cloud-like cream, then melt from you body temperature into a smooth velvet oil, lastly absorb into your skin. Leaving you soft and smooth!
Can I use body butter on my face?
Although it can be used anywhere on the body, it is not recommend for the face due to some butters and oils having heavier consistencies (like coconut oil) that may clog the sensitive pores of the face.
What about my skin type?
Sweet Skin uses specially formulated natural recipes that are suitable for all skin type and ages. (Oily, combination, dry, mature, sensitive). Do read ingredients list for products that may have allergic reactions.

What is the shelf life?
At least one year from opening. Do not allow water into the jar as Sweet Skin products body butters are all natural and do not contain preservatives. Water, in raw instances, may cause the butter mold. The Gold Mini Spoon is the perfect accent to a jar of butter.
